A new microplate foil cutter tool is available for safe penetration of microplate sealing foils. Several problems can occur if sealed microplates (the widely used Heat Sealing System) are penetrated by the injection syringe needle. The new foil cutter solves the clogging problem.

The microplate foil cutter should be used with any PAL LC version where heat sealing foils are used. It is limited to maximum needle gauge 22 and can NOT be used with any kind of regular vial septas or for GC applications. The tool is attached to the PAL needle guide. No changes in firmware settings are needed.
